Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mykroft Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria (RC 1555023), who provide the Gritz app and service. By creating an account or using Gritz, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Your gym (for example, Gc Gym) uses Gritz to run its memberships. Your membership agreement, including the gym's own rules, prices and refund policy, is between you and your gym. Where these terms and your gym's rules differ about the gym itself, your gym's rules apply.

2. Your account

• You must be 16 or older to use Gritz.
• Give accurate details, and keep them up to date, especially your phone number, emergency contact and health answers.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell your gym or us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One account per person.

3. Memberships and payments

• Your gym sets its plans and prices. The app shows them as your gym provides them.
• Payments in the app are processed by Paystack. A payment counts once it is confirmed, and you get a receipt in the app.
• Wallet: money you add to your wallet can be used for payments at your gym, such as renewals. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, and can't be transferred to another person. Whether it can be refunded is decided by your gym's refund policy.
• Auto-renew: if you turn on auto-renew from your wallet, your plan renews from your wallet balance when it ends, if there is enough. You can turn it off at any time.
• Refunds, freezes and plan changes follow your gym's policy. Ask at the front desk if you are unsure.

4. Gate access

• Your gate code is personal. Don't share it, and don't use anyone else's.
• Where your gym uses one-time codes, you can only get a code while you are at the gym. The app checks your location when you ask for one. Don't use a fake location. Each code lets you in once and out once.
• The gym can see when codes are used. Sharing codes, letting others in on your code, or using a fake location can lead your gym to suspend your access or end your membership.
• If the gate or the app is not working, the gym's staff can let you in or give you a one-time code.

5. Health and safety

• Answer the health questions honestly, and tell your gym if anything changes.
• Workouts, plans, goals, tips and the plan finder in Gritz are general guidance. They are not medical advice and don't replace a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.
• Speak to a doctor before starting if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or are unsure whether exercise is safe for you.
• Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and ask a member of staff for help.
• You train at your own risk, within the limits of the law. Follow your gym's rules and its staff's instructions.

6. Coaches and instructors

Coaches and instructors at your gym are arranged by your gym. Sessions, availability and any charges are between you and your gym, and the gym is responsible for its coaches.

7. What you share

• You keep ownership of photos and posts you add. You give us permission to store and show them as the app needs to work, for example showing a post to the group you shared it with.
• Only share content you have the right to share. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexual, misleading, or anything that invades someone else's privacy, including photos of other people without their permission.
• We or your gym may remove content that breaks these terms.

8. Using Gritz fairly

Don't misuse Gritz. In particular, don't:

• access another person's account, or try to get around gate access, payments or security;
• interfere with the app or our servers, or try to read data you are not allowed to see;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows;
• use Gritz to harass anyone or to break the law.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Gritz available and working, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or problems outside our control. We may change, add or remove features, and we may ask you to update the app to keep using it. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you in advance where we can.

10. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a membership by itself; speak to your gym about that.
• We or your gym may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the gym's rules, or when required by law.

11. Our responsibility

We provide Gritz "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for problems caused by your gym, its staff, its equipment or its premises, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Gritz after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a problem, please contact us first; we will try to resolve it. If we can't, the courts of Nigeria will decide, without affecting any right you have to go to the courts where you live.
